Portuguese Heritage - Father’s Day

Portuguese shoes are a very important heritage, passed from father to son, and many companies are build in a strong family environment. On the 19th of March, Father’s Day (Saint Joseph Day for Catholic) in Portugal, the WTF Shoes team wanted to pay it’s tribute to all the fathers who contributed to the development and maintenance of the footwear business in this country!

We celebrate this event with a video (as you can see up) and with a shoe editorial, with man shoes, with the support of two national brands : GOLDMUD and COMMON CUT.

Thanks to all the father’s all around the World, and we hope, with Portuguese shoes on their feet !!!

We Love Portuguese Shoes

image
We love Portuguese Shoes and we have reasons for that.

Portuguese footwear industry improved its competitiveness through R&D. Is ranked in the top 10 in the world for exports of leather goods. The average price, the 2nd highest reflects the degree of appreciation that Portuguese footwear has earned in international markets. Quality and design are recognized overseas.

The Portuguese industry has managed to survive the “steamroller” of low-cost competition from China by clever moves. The ability to respond quickly to small orders has become a differentiating factor in the face of competition from countries with cheap manpower.

“gino-B has born in a factory with more than 67 years, full experienced in quality and classic footwear.”
He is enthusiastic talking about a brand that exports 80% to Holland, Belgium and Turkey, recently to Germany and Austria, and next season also to Denmark and France.

"WOW, after a hard day on tracks, with hard ski boots, you only want your feet inside something warm and comfy, it was an amazing feeling!”

The newborn Après Ski Sneakers have raised in the footwear market has a new concept not found yet worldwide.
It´s the gino-B best seller now, in number of pairs sold.

La Sneakette

During 2012 summer, and with the release of the high heel sneaker worldwide by several footwear brands, gino-B developed what they have called La Sneakette.

The name was just cooked during the team presence at Cannes Film Festival Fashion Week, which they were invited for. That was really an inspiration for them.

“La baguette, la pochette … La Sneakette!!!”

WTF Shoes - What´s That?!

image

Hi!!! Who doesn’t like shoes? Who doesn’t want to possess a good and trendy pair of shoes?

Portugal, has long tradition in making good pair of shoes, selling inside borders and abroad. But are Portuguese connected to their brands? Do they actually attach to Portuguese shoes, do media trend Portuguese shoe fashion?

It’s time to talk and trend about Portuguese shoes.
To be amazed with designers, and manufacturers, to be proud of using brands, that are in the closets of Michele Obama, Pippa Middleton and that fashion magazines talk all over the world.

WTF Shoes, will trend for shoes. We are proud to trend Portuguese shoes. So this journey, this project starts now, in a year of crisis, of economical contention. It´s in the worst ages that braves prevail.
